Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Time to Eat app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. The App is provided by FatCatSolutions (“the Developer”).
We designed Time to Eat to keep your personal data on your device wherever possible. The App has no account system — we never ask for your name, email, phone number, or password, and we do not build an advertising profile about you.
1. Data stored only on your device
The following never leaves your device except as a normal device backup that you control (e.g. iCloud / Google backup):
- Your meal schedule, meal times, and reminder settings
- Your cuisine and dietary preferences
- Recipes you create yourself, and recipes you save to Favourites
This data is removed when you delete the App.
2. Data sent off your device
To generate recipe suggestions, the App sends the following to our servers, which forward the necessary parts to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce recipes and images:
- The meal type you are browsing (e.g. breakfast, dinner)
- Your dietary preferences (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free)
- Your cuisine preferences
- Your measurement system (metric / imperial)
- Identifiers of recipes you have already seen (so we don’t repeat them)
We do not send your name, email, contacts, location, or any account identifier with these requests — there is no account, and the requests are not linked to your identity. We use this data only to generate and de-duplicate recipe suggestions, not to advertise to you or to build a personal profile.
Recipe images generated for you are hosted on Cloudflare R2 so they load reliably.
3. Diagnostics
The App uses Sentry to collect crash and error reports so we can fix bugs. These reports may include your device model, operating-system version, App version, and technical diagnostic data (such as stack traces). They are not used to identify you.
4. Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your payment-card details — billing, renewals, and refunds are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
6. Data retention
- On-device data: kept until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Recipe-generation requests: processed in real time to return suggestions and are not linked to your identity. Any server request logs are retained only as long as necessary to operate and secure the service. Our AI provider may retain request content briefly for abuse monitoring under its API terms and does not use it to train its models.
- Crash reports: retained according to Sentry’s data-retention policy.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the EU/UK GDPR or California CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we do not maintain accounts and most data lives on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by editing or deleting your data in the App, or by uninstalling it. For anything else, contact us at the address below and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted HTTPS connections) to protect data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
